Doo-wop (también escrito doowop y doo wop) es un género de música rítmica y blues que se originó entre la juventud afroamericana en la década de 1940. Ganando popularidad en la década de 1950, el doo-wop disfrutó de su máximo éxito a principios de la década de 1960, pero continuó influyendo en los artistas de otros géneros.
La idea del canal es tener una selección de música estilo doo wop. Es cierto que se podría decir que no todas las melodías son puro doo wop pero el propósito del canal es tener una selección de canciones doo wop que vienen de este estilo o que han recibido su influencia, como pasa con algunas canciones de rock, rockabilly y pop incluidas en el canal.
